As our Maintenance Manager, you will be independent, proactive and reliable, keeping our venues running smoothly and operating between all 7 of our London sites (all within zone 1). This is a 48-hour contract, full-time position. Work starts early in the morning, usually 7-8am.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee maintenance activities across multiple restaurant venues, ensuring high operational standards
Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
Monitor and maintain boilers, control systems, ventilation, and other mechanical equipment
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, repairing or replacing faulty components when required
Maintain lighting systems and general electrical fixtures across all venues
Support or carry out weekly fire alarm testing and ensure accurate record keeping
Maintain pumps, plant equipment, drainage, and sewage systems to ensure full functionality
Carry out general building maintenance including repairs and replacements of fixtures and furniture
Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, landlords, and building management when required
Ensure all statutory compliance records and maintenance documentation are up to date
Log and report maintenance issues, escalating where necessary
Maintain strong knowledge of Health & Safety policies and ensure compliance at all times
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations including Electricity at Work Regulations
Promote and maintain a safe working environment across all venues
Ensure management teams are aware of key building systems and isolation points
Support coordination with building security where required
Ensure all systems across venues are functioning safely and efficiently
Obtain permits and approvals for contractor work where necessary
Manage contractor invoices and payments, ensuring correct processing
Source and purchase maintenance materials, tools, and equipment
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
Monitor warranties and service agreements for equipment
Support and manage small maintenance-related projects and upgrades
Contribute to projects that support the company’s growth and development
Assist in preparing and managing the annual maintenance budget
Act as a key point of contact for maintenance-related emergencies
Ad hoc tasks as per business needs
