The role will be based on the Point West Development in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea, close to Earls Court and the Albert Hall. The development is made up of 400 residential homes, a Sainsburys super store and David Lloyd Gym complex is located within walking distance of Gloucester Road Tube station.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise on-site engineers and contractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards
Manage a high volume of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks
Carry out site inspections of key plant and infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems, plant rooms, tank rooms, and all communal areas
Manage and oversee the reactive maintenance function, investigating reported issues, coordinating resources, and implementing proactive solutions
Review and coordinate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Administer the Permit-to-Work system, including creation, authorisation, monitoring, and closure of permits
Monitor contractor performance and inspect completed works
Maintain and update all Health & Safety documentation, including safety files, compliance records, and COSHH registers
Ensure all areas of responsibility are maintained to the high standards expected by the Landlord and Managing Agent
Requirements:
Strong technical background in Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or similar building services
Previous experience in a supervisory role leading a small maintenance team
Hands-on leadership approach
Ability to supervise on-site engineers and contractors
Operate effectively within a fast-paced environment
