Job Description:

At Luanda International Airport (NBJ), Aviapartner is fast growing its operations. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance and repair of all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure operational reliability, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. You will be part of a dynamic team and report to the station manager / country manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate all GSE maintenance activities (preventive, corrective, predictive)
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and inspection programs for all equipment
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians and allocate tasks effectively
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure full traceability of repairs
  • Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and cost control
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support technicians in complex repairs
  • Liaise with Operations and Safety departments to ensure equipment availability for daily operations
  • Provide training and performance assessments for maintenance staff
  • Prepare maintenance reports and analysis for management

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in GSE maintenance, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of GSE systems (tow tractors, belt loaders, GPUs, ACUs, etc.)
  • Understanding of aviation safety standards and ground handling operations
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills
