Job Description:

Right now, we are looking for a Maintenance Lead for our Cold Mill Maintenance team at our Boden site. In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and work within our Maintenance & Reliability function. The team is responsible for keeping the cold side of the plant safe, stable, and reliable – from pickling and cold rolling through annealing and finishing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the mechanical subject matter expert within the Cold Mill, supporting safe day-to-day operations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead structured root cause analyses when things don’t work as intended
  • Support and mentor technicians and colleagues, building confidence and capability across the team
  • Contribute to preventive and predictive maintenance plans that improve reliability over time
  • Coordinate mechanical repairs, upgrades, and improvement initiatives with operations and engineering
  • Follow up on equipment performance and suggest practical improvements to reduce downtime and risk
  • Ensure maintenance work is documented and carried out in line with safety standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance within heavy industry, such as steel, energy, or process manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment
  • A strong safety mindset and understanding of maintenance best practices
  • Experience sharing knowledge, coaching, or supporting colleagues in technical work
  • Ability to work methodically with root cause analysis and follow through on improvements
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
  • A practical, collaborative approach and clear communication style

Nice to have:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
