Job Description:

Opportunity for a Maintenance Handyperson to join Marriott International at The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane. Role involves working as part of a dynamic team to perform maintenance duties ensuring the hotels are efficiently maintained.

Job Responsibility:

Use the Work Request System and Preventative Maintenance Program
Carry out all tasks, guided by the Work Request System and Preventative Maintenance Program
Clean and maintain plant rooms/workshop in proper condition
Work on a rotating shift as directed
Carry out and administrate the Rooms Inspection program as per hotel Standards
Carry out duties as directed by Chief Engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor
Communicate to the Chief Engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis about allocated jobs
Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates

Requirements:

Proven experience in Engineering/Maintenance Operations, in a similar position within a multi-disciplinary organisation
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards
Hands-on attitude and strong willingness to learn
High attention-to-detail
Commitment to workplace health & safety
