Maintenance Groundworker – Responsive & Voids. Build safer homes. Strengthen communities. Make a real difference. At ClwydAlyn Housing, we’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Groundworker to join our Responsive & Voids Team within ClwydAlyn Property Maintenance. This is not new-build site work. This role focuses on maintaining and improving our existing homes across North Wales, often in occupied properties, where professionalism, care and quality matter just as much as technical skill.
Job Responsibility:
Carrying out responsive and void groundworks repairs to domestic properties
Diagnosing drainage issues and carrying out repairs or replacements
Fencing repairs and renewals
Brickwork, blockwork, concreting, paving and small tarmac repairs
Preparing small foundations and carrying out external remedial works
Ensuring work areas are safe, clean and respectful in occupied homes
Using drawings and job specifications to complete work to a high standard
Operating tools and plant safely (breakers, compactors, saws
diggers/dumpers where qualified)
Supporting a labourer where required
Participating in an out-of-hours rota (currently 1 in 7 weeks)
Requirements:
A recognised qualification in Groundworks (or strong equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years’ experience, ideally within maintenance or responsive environments
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work
Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
Professional manner when working around residents
Full UK driving licence (essential)
