Job Description:

Randstad is currently recruiting a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter. This is a permanent, full time opportunity set on the afternoon shift. Your primary focus is ensuring the continual operation of the production plant through high quality maintenance and repair. You will work both independently and in a cooperative team to minimise downtime.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform MMAW, GMAW, and fitting/turning to maintain plant equipment
  • Promptly diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment when issues arise
  • Monitor machinery and conduct regular plant maintenance to identify potential problems before failure
  • Completing scheduled maintenance checklists and assisting with engineering projects
  • Ensuring all work complies with WHS, GMP, and HACCP food safety standards

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
  • Proven experience in welding (ARC/MIG) and fitting/turning techniques
  • Sound understanding of WHS obligations and GMP principles
  • Excellent time management and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Exposure to PLCs and Automation systems
  • Ability to pass pre employment medical screenings
