You will be keeping mechanical equipment running safely and reliably. You will start on daywork before moving into a 3 or 4 cycle shift pattern which includes shifts between 8 and 12 hrs. You will also have an opportunity to progress into a leading or management role over time.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production machinery to minimise downtime
Work to PPM schedules, liaising with planners to stay on track
Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to keep production running
Complete risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work requirements
Support and train mechanical apprentices
Maintain accurate records and documentation for maintenance tasks
Requirements:
Completed recognised Mechanical Trades Apprenticeship, or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in manufacturing, ideally in construction materials manufacturing, engineering or heavy maintenance background
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and turning/milling
Trade Qualification is essential
Shift experience with continental/unsociable patterns
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
