Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. You’ll play a critical role in supporting production teams to meet schedules and delivery commitments.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules
Respond to breakdowns and complete timely repairs
Identify machine faults and recommend reliability improvements
Use our CMMS to record work and maintenance activity
Support Lean/5S and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in Practical Problem Solving (PPS) and root cause analysis
Raise purchase orders and gather quotes for mechanical work
Work closely with supervisors, production teams, and external contractors
Help maintain a safe, organised, and high-performing work environment
Requirements:
Technical certification in Fitting, Diagnostics, Maintenance or related field, Level 4
At least 3 years’ experience as a trade-qualified person in manufacturing
Strong mechanical fault-finding capability
Experience with Plastics Injection Moulding Machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, or fabrication (desirable)
Knowledge of PPS/root cause analysis and Lean principles
Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management
Solid IT skills
experience with Excel or SAP is advantageous
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
