The Rotating Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing and supporting maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability activities related to rotating equipment. The role ensures equipment availability, technical integrity, and safe execution of all maintenance tasks. This includes coordinating maintenance activities, supporting vendor interventions, monitoring equipment performance, and contributing to continuous improvement across operational processes.
Job Responsibility:

Attend mandatory HSE training and ensure compliance during all site work
Support the implementation and improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards and related programs
Ensure safety of personnel and environmental protection during all maintenance activities
Participate in safety reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, technical audits, and incident investigations as required
Maintain the technical integrity and reliability of rotating equipment
Perform maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting on rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, turbines, expanders, hydraulics, and associated systems
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and propose corrective/preventive actions
Support periodic review and optimisation of preventive maintenance plans
Assist in scheduling and coordinating rotating equipment maintenance work requests
Review and update technical procedures, documentation, and safety manuals
Ensure maintenance work is carried out according to approved procedures and quality standards
Prepare and contribute to monthly reports covering KPIs such as preventive maintenance compliance, corrective work, equipment performance, and cost tracking
Identify improvement opportunities in equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency
Monitor availability of spare parts and materials required for rotating maintenance activities
Participate in stock reviews and help identify material requirements
Support preparation of technical justifications for procurement when needed
Ensure backup and archiving of rotating equipment control system files and software versions
Assist in coordinating contractor and vendor activities related to rotating equipment
Support development and review of maintenance work scopes for service contracts
Oversee vendor work on site and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements
Collaborate with the Condition Monitoring Engineer to review machinery health data and plan interventions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rotating Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical or rotating equipment maintenance within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry
Minimum 7 years of experience in LNG production facilities (not LNG import terminals)
Strong hands-on experience with gas turbines and compressors
Strong knowledge of rotating and mechanical equipment used in oil & gas / LNG environments
Understanding of gas turbines (e.g., Frame 7 units), compressors, expanders, pumps, hydraulics, and LNG loading equipment
Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards
Working knowledge of SAP CMMS or similar maintenance systems
Proficiency in computer applications and engineering tools
