Job Description:

We are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer, to join the Clawson family situated in the Leicestershire village of Bottesford. We have a dedicated team of engineers who manage the highly specialised equipment in our factories. Whilst fixing breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance is a key part of the job, you will spend a significant amount of time in developing improvements and supporting the strategy of investment and installation of new equipment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond to critical breakdowns ensuring a quick, effective solution and repair
  • Carry out effective PPMs and review PPMs to ensure they are effective and suitable
  • Feedback ideas for improvement and items that will move the business forward
  • Identify and implement improvement projects
  • Use RCA techniques to prevent recurring issues
  • Share learnings with other shifts
  • Ensure effective communication with Engineering Team stake holders and production stake holders
  • Complete necessary reports and paperwork for work completed
  • Complete jobs on the Agility system ensuring that all relevant information is included to support with similar future problems and RCAs etc.
  • Actively support and encourage team members
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and Company Rules/Procedures are always adhered to
  • Behave in an honest & Industrious way showing respect for all
  • Take personal responsibility for your own actions and respectfully challenge others where appropriate
  • Be responsible for and ensure quality is maintained in accordance with quality standards
  • Take an active part in your own development

Requirements:

  • Ideally Apprentice trained multi skilled Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrician – or experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Adaptable/flexible to meet requirements and demands of the business and seasonal fluctuations
  • Ability to work on own initiative & self-motivated
  • Industrious and able to work under pressure
  • Good level of accuracy and numeracy when completing records.
