Maintenance Engineer

Performing skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, security and structural systems and elements of resort buildings and facilities

• High school diploma/GED, supplemented by technical or college course work training in a trade
• Background with working at a hotel/resort or related is preferred
• (2) years of journey-level work in facilities, plant construction, plant operations, or maintenance and repair
• OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.)
• Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed
• Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks during the work shift
• Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
• Works well in stressful, high-pressure situations – fast paced environment
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests
• Ability to work independently
