We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. This role is critical to ensuring minimal downtime, maximizing equipment reliability, and supporting production goals through proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshooting and Breakdown Maintenance: Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on a variety of SPMs
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the source of machine failures and implement effective, long-term countermeasures
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Execute and optimize planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency
Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Equipment Improvement and Upgrades: Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety
Collaborate with the design and production teams to implement engineering changes and new equipment installations
Lead or support projects for the retrofitting or commissioning of new SPMs
Technical Expertise & Training: Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior engineers and maintenance technicians
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance manuals
Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology, including PLC, HMI, and robotics
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in strict accordance with safety protocols and company policies
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team
Ensure all equipment and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
6-8 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, with a significant focus on Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) or complex automated systems
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems (e.g., gears, shafts, bearings, ball screws)
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and components
Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, including sensors, actuators, and motor drives
Knowledge of PLC programming logic (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) and HMI systems is a must
Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
