Job Description:

We are looking for skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineers to join our Engineering team in Hereford. You will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability, minimising downtime, supporting production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • Diagnose faults quickly and implement effective repairs
  • Maintain conveyors, processing equipment, and packaging machinery
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and safety
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate Engineering stores stock records

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Level 2)
  • Previous maintenance engineering experience (Level 2)
  • Strong fault-finding ability within your core discipline (Level 2)
  • Experience within manufacturing or production environments (Level 2)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Level 2)
  • Desire to develop additional engineering disciplines and progress your career (Level 2)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi Skilled Engineering (Level 3)
  • Proven experience as a multi skilled maintenance engineer (Level 3)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (Level 3)
  • Experience with VSDs, PLC systems, and automated production lines advantageous (Level 3)
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing and hygiene standards desirable (Level 3)
  • Experience with process machinery desirable (Level 3)
  • Motivated to continue professional development and further education (Level 3)
