We're looking for a team-oriented Maintenance Engineer II to join our Property Operations Team! This position will primarily work as Rooms Preventative Maintenance but may be assigned to other areas as needed. As a Maintenance Engineer II, you would be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in all areas in a professional manner.
Job Responsibility:
Perform maintenance tasks in guest suites, public space, outlets and back of the house areas
Respond to guest calls
Visually inspect and detect items needing repair
Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades
Respond to any fire or other emergency procedure
Adhere to all OSHA regulations
Schedule workload effectively
Maintain detailed record keeping for logs and inspection sheets
Adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations
Demonstrate commitment to safety
Perform routine repair and maintenance of guest rooms and equipment
Assess, troubleshoot, and determine appropriate action for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical
Perform basic carpentry work
Perform basic troubleshooting testing procedures
Use schematics, electrical and manual hand tools
When assigned to Quick Caller / Rooms Preventative Maintenance role: Perform routine repair and maintenance of buildings and rooms
Maintain working understanding of basic plumbing and residential electricity
Maintain knowledge in the use of all hand tools
Perform routine maintenance of fire pits / fireplace
Perform routine maintenance of paint and wallcovering
When assigned to Painter role: Perform routine repair and maintenance of buildings
Maintain knowledge in the use of all painting hand tools and spray equipment
Maintain knowledge in application techniques
When assigned to Pool Technician role: Perform daily chemical tests on all pools and spas
Maintain all mechanical equipment associated with pools, spas and fountains
Perform daily safety checks
Order chemicals, parts and services
Maintain all reports for County Health Department
Oversee work done by outside vendors
When assigned to HVAC role: Perform routine maintenance to split system, fan coil units, RTU, AHU, and mini splits
Maintain basic understanding of split system and/or fan coil units
When assigned to Kitchen Mechanic role: Perform routine repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment
Perform routine repairs in kitchen areas
Perform daily safety checks
Perform routine maintenance of exhaust hood and make-up air units
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic experience in maintenance trades to include electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry
Prior customer service experience
At least one (1) year experience in hotel or resort (preferred)
Training or Apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical (preferred)
Certification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical (preferred)
Valid Arizona Driver’s License (preferred)
CPR / First Aid Certified (preferred)
CPO Certification (preferred)
Nice to have:
At least one (1) year experience in hotel or resort
Training or Apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical
Certification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical
