An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Maintenance Engineer to join our busy team at Wessex Galvanizers Ltd, Eastleigh, SO50 6NZ. We are part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, a successful family-owned business offering secure employment to its employees for over 150 years. We have 14 sites nationwide and apply corrosion protection to all the steel you regularly see around you such as street furniture, lampposts, bridge beams and even football stadiums through our galvanizing process. Job Responsibility

  • Putting Safety First – Operating safe working practices within the work environment
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance of equipment and facilities
  • Undertake any maintenance operations at site
  • Assure information required for the Engineering Management System is inputted correctly
  • Conducting electrical diagnostic and fault-finding activities
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and resolving related issues

Requirements

  • Experience within an engineering role
  • Hold electrical installation and testing qualifications (electrical maintenance qualifications will be considered)
  • Organised

  • Capable of good communication and cooperation

Any previous experience working with overhead cranes/hoists
