Trane Technologies in Trenton, NJ is hiring a Maintenance Electronics Technician! There is an opening on both 2nd and 3rd shift. 2nd Shift Hours (estimated): 2:00 - 10:30pm. 3rd Shift Hours (estimated): 10:00pm-6:30am.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for helping to maintain and repair all machines and equipment in the facility
Performs all electrical repairs
Works closely with machine adjusters during repairs as well as managing the processes to ensure preventive maintenance is performed to ensure highest output of machines
Read and evaluate electrical schematics and plans to repair, maintain and install equipment
Assist employees with repairs and diagnosis of equipment problems
Responsible for general maintenance and electrical work of grounds, facilities, processes and equipment
Experience in reading and troubleshooting from blueprints & schematics with system voltages 240 and 480 three-phase system
Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control
Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades
Strong math skills including measurement
Troubleshoot, read, and edit PLC logic
Troubleshoot using meters, computer, schematics and manuals
Work independently and take ownership while working in a team environment
Maintain automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems (PLC’s, HMI’s, robotics, drives and computers)
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements:
Journeyman License/Certification preferred
or equivalent years’ experience performing complex electronics, electrical, computer, and PLC industrial maintenance
Demonstrated competency with Allen-Bradley PLC 5000, PanelView and SLC 500 equipment shown by passing Allen-Bradley skills requirement criteria
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control
Ability to work overtime as needed
