A leading service provider in the healthcare sector is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Norwich to oversee electrical services at a major University Hospital. Your work will directly ensure a safe and reliable environment for patients and staff.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain hospital buildings, plant, and equipment to high standards to safeguard long-term serviceability
Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, and commissioning of various plant and systems
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure continued efficiency and safety
Work in accordance with workplace regulations, assessing all tasks for risk and taking appropriate action
Use computerised labour control systems to accurately complete work orders and document repairs
Requirements:
A recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or structured training program
City and Guilds or BTEC certification
Strong knowledge of Electrical Building Services
Experience in a similar large-scale environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills for a sensitive hospital setting
Ability to work 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00) with occasional overtime in exceptional circumstances
