A leading service provider in the healthcare sector is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Norwich to oversee electrical services at a major University Hospital. Your work will directly ensure a safe and reliable environment for patients and staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain hospital buildings, plant, and equipment to high standards to safeguard long-term serviceability
  • Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, and commissioning of various plant and systems
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure continued efficiency and safety
  • Work in accordance with workplace regulations, assessing all tasks for risk and taking appropriate action
  • Use computerised labour control systems to accurately complete work orders and document repairs

Requirements:

  • A recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or structured training program
  • City and Guilds or BTEC certification
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Building Services
  • Experience in a similar large-scale environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for a sensitive hospital setting
  • Ability to work 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00) with occasional overtime in exceptional circumstances
