This is a position for a Maintenance Electrician on a Continental Night shift (18:30-6:30) at Baxter's manufacturing facility in Alliston. The role focuses on saving and sustaining lives by creating quality products in a high-energy, safe, and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns with precision.
Take breakdown calls as primary or backup status as assigned to ensure seamless operations.
Craft and sketch electrical services for machinery to support continuous improvement.
Perform electrical maintenance on Radio Frequency generators.
Collaborate with Industrial Mechanics on machinery repairs and maintenance.
Apply your PLC knowledge to perform troubleshooting
Install new electrical services with or without electrical drawings.
Mark wiring changes on drawings to maintain accurate documentation.
Strictly adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.
Requirements:
3 plus years’ experience (inclusive of apprenticeship hours)
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Ontario Grade 12 Equivalency program
Must hold a valid provincial certification as an Industrial Electrician license (442A)
Must have PLC knowledge and experience.
Demonstrated use of advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to determine the root cause of complex machine failures.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Proof of apprenticeship
Nice to have:
Post-secondary Degree in Engineering or Science
Previous Manufacturing experience in a GMP environment.
Experience in the food or manufacturing industry.
Previous experience with Radio Frequency Heat Sealing welding process.
Practical experience using Lean tools (6S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
