Our client, one of the biggest names in the food industry is looking for a couple highly skilled Electrician for their Saskatoon plant. This is a specialized role requiring a candidate who can hit the ground running with instrumentation, calibration, and PLC troubleshooting. As a Maintenance Electrician, you work alongside the millwrights, responsible for the P.M., upkeep, and repair of the food manufacturing and high-speed packaging equipment
Job Responsibility:
Embody a safety-first culture while continuously improving standards
Attending to emergency breakdowns
Reactive and Predictive work on electrical manufacturing equipment (including trouble shooting and root cause analysis). Pumps, PLCs (Allen Bradley) VFDs, automation equipment, compressors, boilers, and more
Performing preventative maintenance on conveyors
Troubleshooting, upgrading, and emergency repairs on equipment and machinery
Performing troubleshooting and modifications on PLC controls and systems (no PLC programming required)
Adjustment and installation of equipment
Continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure all work orders are properly documented through the appropriate systems (SAP) and outlets
Requirements:
Electrical Journeyman certificate (or a Red Seal)
Working knowledge of machinery including VFDs, boilers, and sensors
Experience working in the food or high-speed packaging industry
Some PLC knowledge is required (no PLC programming needed)
