Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support operations at a high-tech manufacturing facility in Wilton, CT. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical distribution and control systems up to 600 volts. The Maintenance Electrician will also function as a multi-craft technician, supporting HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance as assigned. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to both planned and emergency maintenance needs.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and troubleshoot all primary and secondary electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts
Diagnose, maintain, and repair control circuitry, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other specialized electrical systems
Wire outlets, relocate fixtures, troubleshoot lighting and power panels, and install outlets in existing and underground raceways as required
Service and maintain batteries and transformers
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot VFD systems
Complete all assigned preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
Submit required electrical service and maintenance reports for all work performed
Evaluate equipment performance and provide recommendations to supervision for improvements or corrective actions
Respond to emergency maintenance situations as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and customer safety policies and procedures
Function as a multi-craft technician, supporting HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma, trade degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in electrical trades
Journeyman Electrician license or successful completion of a four-year electrical apprenticeship program
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments
In-depth knowledge of applicable electrical building codes, regulations, and ordinances
Proven ability to read, interpret, and execute work from plans, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
Nice to have:
Experience with project estimation for electrical labor, materials, and equipment preferred
