Job Description:

Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle®.

Job Responsibility:

Preventative electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical equipment in the factory
Follow plant sanitation practices and procedures
Stay informed of new technology and equipment as it pertains to plant operations
Work in a safe manner
Play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements
Work collaboratively across the plant
Perform predictive and preventative maintenance
Properly use maintenance equipment including hand tools, lifts, threaders, benders, drills and welding equipment
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring and components, overcurrent and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems
Design, program and troubleshoot plant PLCs, VFDs, input/output devices and associated equipment
Read, update, and create electrical prints and documentation
Properly install conduit, raceways, fittings, etc.
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years’ industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment
