Job Responsibility:
Provide and oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple YMCA sites, handling both reactive repairs and planned maintenance
Coordinate external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
Support compliance with health & safety regulations and YMCA Norfolk’s internal policies
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and contribute to budget management
Advise site managers on maintenance as well as safety issues in the absence of the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager
Contribute to strategic planning by attending team meetings and supporting cross-organisational projects
Champion safeguarding and uphold YMCA’s values in every aspect of your work
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or facilities role
Practical skills in joinery, building, plumbing or electrical work
A recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline (desirable)
Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance
A full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently, manage your time, and adapt to changing priorities
A flexible, proactive mindset and a genuine commitment to YMCA’s mission
Nice to have:
A recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline
