Job Description

Solaris HealthCare Daytona is now hiring. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to provide outstanding care to our residents each and every day. This job responsibilities may include maintaining cleanliness, supporting resident move-ins/move-outs, light repairs, and completing emergency work orders. Additionally, some roles serve to maintain the physical plant, equipment and grounds of the facility. These roles are a great fit for those who enjoy physical work and movement. The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the Plant Operations Director with the maintenance and repair program involving buildings and grounds. Also assists in coordinating maintenance and repair activities with functions of other departments, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare's established policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

Maintaining cleanliness
Supporting resident move-ins/move-outs
Light repairs
Completing emergency work orders
Maintaining the physical plant, equipment and grounds of the facility

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
Must be a supportive team member
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
Must be able to move frequently throughout the workday
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Must possess sight/hearing senses
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies
Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Solaris HealthCare
Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within Solaris HealthCare
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally

Nice to have

Knowledge of the TELS Maintenance Program a plus
Experience in the Healthcare Industry a plus
Nursing home experience preferred
Basic plumbing and electrical experience preferred
