St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join our friendly Estates team at our Taunton Hospice. Salary: £4,818.98 per annum (for 7 hours per week) Working pattern: Part time, working 9:00am – 4:30pm on Fridays Contract: Permanent. You’ll be part of a welcoming, community‑minded charity where the patient is at the heart of everything we do. Job Responsibility:
Support delivery of maintenance and repair services across hospice site
Reactive maintenance including replacing taps, furniture repairs, unblocking sinks and drains, clearing gutters, adjusting fire doors, re-decoration tasks
Planned maintenance including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), emergency lighting tests, fire panel testing, cleaning or replacing AHU/air-conditioning filters, disinfection and flushing of taps and showers
Project support including enabling works for minor projects, moving furniture, supporting contractor visits, communicating progress with stakeholders
Requirements:
Recent experience and knowledge of daily building maintenance tasks and ongoing repairs
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to look up, extract and record electronic information
Full driving licence and ability to drive a company vehicle
