Under the general direction of the Plant Manager/Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting various maintenance functions including but not limited to: troubleshooting running equipment, modifications to existing equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Position will require flexible hours on the weekends. Must be able to work overtime.
Job Responsibility

Handling basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and throughout facility
Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
Ability to maintain focus while working individually
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance service
Electrical experience needed in 460/230 3 phase services, troubleshooting circuits, motor starters, lighting and control wiring
Pneumatic understanding or manufacturing machinery and general plumbing skills highly desirable
Must have experience with hydraulic pumps and piping
Ability to weld with mig and stick machine
Proper use of torch rig, electrical hand tools, grinders, drill motors, die grinders, porta band, and bench grinder
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
Must be able to climb a ladder and work in high areas
Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
The ability to work accurately, thoroughly and meet deadlines
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Proven maintenance experience, such as repairs associated with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
Ability to check/read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
Strong organizational, follow up, and communication skills and extreme eye for detail
Strong time management skills, maintaining an active work list and timely completion of work items
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written
Nice to have
Forklift, man lift and associated safety equipment experience, preferred
Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
CNC equipment experiences preferred
Software and program loading experience preferred
Welding and metal fabrication experience preferred
Technical education is a plus
