We are currently seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our team in Buffalo, New York (US-NY), United States (US). This Mainframe Systems Programmer role involves upgrading and supporting the z/OS operating system and ISV products, mainly from IBM and Computer Associates (CA). The successful candidate: will ideally have more than ten years of z/OS systems programming experience; has very strong Parallel Sysplex skills; has extensive experience of installing many (not just a few) IBM and CA products; will have ideally worked in a Bank or organizations with large installations; is confident, able to work independently, and starts contributing from day one; must have excellent problem-solving skills and be a true team player; will need to provide off-hours support for the implementation of software changes, when required; has excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences

Requirements
5+ years of experience installing and supporting mainframe software products such as IBM and/or CA/Broadcom
3+ years of experience with core z/OS tools (e.g. SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL, and/or RACF)
3+ years of experience with Parallel Sysplex environments
