Job Description:

The Mainframe Security Engineering solutions team provides technology direction and support for Global Identity Administration in order to deliver efficiency gains and improve client satisfaction through development, standardization, and re-engineering efforts. This team supports other technical support teams such as systems administrators, business users, and other information security administration teams. The Mainframe Security Engineer will primarily be responsible for development of mainframe automation processes for account security.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overall design and development of mainframe automation processes
  • Unit testing and implementation of automation processes and tools
  • Identify and document technical requirements working with numerous different teams
  • Generate ad-hoc reports for clients
  • Communication with various offshore team members as needed
  • Demonstrate clear, organized written communication skills
  • producing and contributing to Quality Assurance plans, strategies, defects, problem descriptions and status reports
  • Provide periodic on-call support including some nights and weekends

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with hands on software development
  • Advanced knowledge of mainframe programming: JCL, COBOL, REXX
  • Other development knowledge beneficial: PL/SQL, Java, .Net, Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge of information security principles and tools: TSSAdmin and zSecure Carla
  • Experience in system life cycle methodology and testing
  • Proficient with business applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential as overall team is geographically dispersed
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
