  • Experience – 6+ Years
  • Installation, upgrade and maintenance of VTAM, TCPIP, OSA and related products on the mainframe
  • Sound knowledge in SMPE
  • Strong Networking knowledge
  • Skills in Printers configuration, FTP, SMTP, SNMP configurations
  • Interface with operations
  • Network management software (includes NetView and NPM)
  • File transfer software (includes TCP/IP FTP, Netview FTP and Connect: Direct)

  • Managing hardware and logical resources across LPARs: DASD and tape allocation via HCD/HCM, LPAR configuration in HMC, Security administration using RACF or equivalent
  • Ensuring data integrity and swift recovery with: DFSMShsm policies and recall management, FDR/ABR for high-speed backups, FlashCopy or virtual tape replication for near-instant restores
