Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Support Specialist to support daily mail operations for a credit union in Boulder, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume mail handling with accuracy and professionalism. The role plays an important part in keeping internal deliveries, outgoing shipments, and supply support running smoothly across the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Organize incoming mail each day, preparing items for accurate routing to the appropriate internal teams
  • Deliver correspondence and packages throughout departments in line with established timelines and service expectations
  • Coordinate interoffice mail movement with external courier partners, including both outgoing dispatches and incoming transfers
  • Review, open, and process mail while following company procedures and applicable compliance standards
  • Investigate and manage returned or undeliverable items, ensuring proper follow-up and documentation when needed
  • Prepare outgoing mail for shipment and oversee scheduled pickups to maintain timely delivery
  • Fulfill Central Supply requests and distribute materials to support operational needs across the business
  • Monitor mailroom materials and replenish inventory to keep essential supplies available at all times
  • Provide additional administrative and operational assistance as needed to help the department function effectively

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a mailroom, shipping/receiving, or similar operational support environment
  • Ability to sort, process, and distribute daily mail with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with handling incoming and outgoing mail, including courier coordination and internal delivery routines
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet recurring schedules
  • Comfortable using email and written communication to coordinate updates and respond to routine inquiries
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move mail bins, packages, and supply items as part of daily responsibilities
  • Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach to supporting internal teams
