We are looking for a dependable Mailroom Clerk to support onsite mail and document-handling operations in Wilmington, Delaware. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can stay organized in a fast-paced office setting while managing incoming and outgoing correspondence with accuracy. The person in this role will help keep daily mail flow running smoothly through sorting, distribution, and scanning tasks.
Job Responsibility
Collect incoming mail from designated office drop-off points and prepare it for internal delivery
Sort letters, packages, and other correspondence to ensure timely distribution to the appropriate recipients
Distribute mail throughout the office in an efficient and accurate manner
Scan paper documents and mail items into digital files while maintaining legibility and proper file organization
Handle routine document processing tasks that support daily administrative operations
Maintain an orderly mailroom area and keep materials, supplies, and records organized
Assist with outgoing mail preparation, including bundling, labeling, and routing items for pickup
Requirements
Previous experience in a mailroom, clerical, or administrative support role
Working knowledge of daily mail handling and office distribution procedures
Experience using scanning equipment for document imaging and recordkeeping
Strong attention to detail when sorting, labeling, and processing documents
Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Reliable attendance and the ability to support a short-term onsite assignment
Comfortable working independently and following established office procedures
