We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth mailroom operations and providing excellent support to internal teams.
Job Responsibility
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate departments or individuals
Prepare outgoing mail and packages, including labeling, postage, and delivery scheduling
Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, copiers, and scanning machines
Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and delivery schedules
Process interoffice mail and ensure timely routing within the organization
Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) for pickups and deliveries
Work closely with employees and departments to ensure proper handling of confidential materials
Keep the mailroom organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., envelopes, packing materials, stamps)
Assist with other clerical or administrative duties, as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a mailroom or similar environment is preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
