Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for handling reprographics tasks, including print and scan jobs, and ensuring the smooth operation of mailroom activities. This position requires technical proficiency and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle reprographics tasks such as copying, printing, and scanning documents according to client requests
  • Operate production printers and copiers, including managing job queues and configuring processing settings
  • Perform finishing tasks using equipment like binders, laminators, cutters, and hole drills based on job specifications
  • Maintain document quality by conducting thorough checks before, during, and after production
  • Load and replenish copiers with paper and toner as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate service calls when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with managers and clients to address job requirements or deadline concerns
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all mailroom and reprographics tasks
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods to complete assignments efficiently

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in office services, ideally within legal, banking, or large corporate environments
  • Proficiency in handling reprographics tasks, including production printing and scanning
  • Familiarity with finishing equipment such as binders, laminators, and cutters
  • Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment problems
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long durations
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members
