Mailroom Assistant

• Open and scan incoming mail from nonprofit organizations, ensuring all items are processed accurately
• Sort cash and checks to their appropriate donor companies with precision and attention to detail
• Operate a mail-opening machine effectively after receiving comprehensive training
• Identify and report any mail discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to your supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate records of processed mailpieces and submit daily reports to the supervisor
• Meet production targets while ensuring quality standards are upheld to meet client deadlines
• Collaborate with team members as needed while also being able to work independently on assigned tasks
• Adhere to company policies and maintain a focused and organized work environment.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a repetitive task environment
• Ability to adapt to both independent work and team collaboration
• Willingness to learn new tasks, including operating mailroom equipment
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
• Reliable attendance and commitment to maintaining daily work standards
• Comfortable wearing casual attire in the workplace
• Previous experience in mail processing or related tasks is a plus.
