This position exists to provide mail service to the campus community by sorting, delivering, and collecting all campus and federal mail from various campus locations. This position will process all outgoing mail using various carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL) while conforming to domestic and international regulations by utilizing shipping software, handheld scanners, and various computer programs.
Job Responsibility:
Sort by account and assess postage rates for domestic and international mail by keying in departmental account numbers and appropriate mail classifications
Provide mail service to the campus community by sorting, delivering, and collecting all campus and federal mail from various campus locations
Process all outgoing mail using various carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL) while conforming to domestic and international regulations by utilizing shipping software, handheld scanners, and various computer programs
Requirements:
High school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of relevant experience (may be met through a combination of education and experience)
Valid driver's license
Nice to have:
High school graduate or equivalent and two years’ experience in a major mail room operation
Knowledge of United States Postal Service and United States Parcel Service regulations
Rapid reading and memorization skills for sorting of mail
