Job Description

This is a contract position where you will oversee mailroom operations and ensure the smooth handling of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and related services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Audit incoming deliveries and compare them against invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Inspect deliveries for compliance and reject packages that do not meet standards
  • Ensure timely delivery of mail and packages, notifying recipients of delays when necessary
  • Handle outgoing shipments, applying postage and protecting items from damage during transit
  • Manage inventory in copy rooms and replenish supplies as needed
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve client or team concerns effectively
  • Analyze data to address and resolve complex issues, offering recommendations to improve processes
  • Coordinate shipping requests with vendors and communicate arrangements to package owners
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency of mailroom operations
  • Maintain and utilize office equipment such as copiers and ensure their proper functioning

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 3-4 years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Familiarity with mailroom operations and shipping functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems independently
