We are looking for a dependable Mail Clerk III to support daily mailroom operations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position focuses on the accurate handling of incoming and outgoing mail, package processing, and postage-related tasks in a structured environment. The ideal candidate brings practical experience in mail distribution procedures and follows established guidelines carefully while working under supervisor direction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments and team members in a timely manner
  • Gather outgoing correspondence and packages, prepare them for shipment, and ensure dispatch deadlines are met
  • Apply correct postage to mail pieces and parcels, including registered items that require special handling
  • Maintain accurate records for registered mail, package shipments, and postage activity as required
  • Review outgoing materials for proper labeling, packaging, and routing before release
  • Follow established mailroom procedures and workplace guidelines to complete daily operational tasks efficiently
  • Support supervisors and team operations by reporting mail issues, delivery exceptions, or processing concerns promptly

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 4-7 years of experience in mailroom operations, clerical support, or a related function
  • Working knowledge of standard mail handling practices, shipping procedures, and postage application
  • Ability to process both incoming and outgoing mail with a high level of accuracy and consistency
  • Experience maintaining logs or records for registered mail and package tracking
  • Comfortable working under direct supervision and following defined instructions and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable organizational skills in a task-focused environment
