Job Description:

BlackRock’s Private Financing Solutions (PFS) business is seeking an Associate to join the Macro Credit Research team. The role focuses on producing macro credit research for a range of external clients and internal stakeholders, combining data-driven market analysis with clear written communication. The Associate will work on a lean team to develop forward-looking investment views across global corporate credit markets, including private credit, leveraged loans, high yield, and investment grade.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meaningfully contribute to the production of clear and concise macro credit research, supported by data-driven analysis
  • Monitor global credit markets to identify emerging themes, risks, and opportunities across private credit, leveraged loans, high yield, and investment grade
  • Build and maintain analytical tools and frameworks to track credit fundamentals, valuations, and default and stress indicators
  • Use diverse data sources to test market trends and investment hypotheses
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, and product strategy and marketing teams
  • Respond efficiently to ad hoc data and analysis requests from internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience related to corporate credit markets, including private credit, leveraged loans, high yield, and investment grade
  • Prior experience in buy-side or sell-side credit research, strategy, or macro research is preferred
  • Solid understanding of fixed income markets and bond valuation is preferred
  • Strong interest in financial markets and investing, with a desire to continuously deepen market knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and manage research projects end-to-end
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
