Position: Machinist  This position will be based at our Odessa, TX location. We are looking for a Machinist to operate a Haas Lathe, which rotates and turns to remove unwanted metal parts using tools and computer assisted controls. You will monitor the machine's performance by recording things such as speed, depth of cut, and feed rate. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Prepare Materials for use on machinery by cutting shaping or drilling them. Performing routing maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly. Adapts to changes in the work environment and the ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks. Install cutting tools, position work pieces on the machine, adjust settings and controls, and verify accuracy of finished work. Operate lathes to turn and rotate metal using tools and computer-assisted controls. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Check all dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications. Shop floor CNC Lathe manufacturing activities. Trouble shoot and solve manufacturing issues on the shop floor. Revise CNC programs. Review and follow written documents such as work instructions and job aids.   EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of previous manufacturing experience required, Knowledge and experience with Haas turning centers helpful. Have strong math skills. Good interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills. Able to read calipers. Able to setup Haas lathe Willing to help run other machines as needed. Hours M-F 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (may be subject to change with the needs of the business)   Wage Compensation based upon experience level and capabilities.
