Job Description

This is where my hands make life-sustaining products. Responsible for the proper performance and quality of a fairly wide range of operations in the department. Must be able to set-up and operate a variety of machinery including, but not limited to, single and multi-spindle screw machines, lathes, machine centers, tube benders, press brakes, laser, tube cutter, mechanical presses, turret press, shear and saws. May be asked to perform programming tasks. May also perform operations on drill presses, sander, tumbler, etc.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the proper performance and quality of a fairly wide range of operations in the department
  • Set-up and operate a variety of machinery including single and multi-spindle screw machines, lathes, machine centers, etc.
  • Mount, position and adjust various cutting tools, adapters, collets, etc.
  • Set proper feeds and speeds to ensure quality part
  • Program CNC machinery and design/formulate programs
  • Create and troubleshoot programs
  • Use correct job procedures/instructions, drawings, specifications
  • Assist supervisor to ensure schedules are met
  • Make preventative maintenance checks
  • Responsible for timely and accurate labor reporting
  • Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions
  • Follow all processes and procedures
  • Assist other team members
  • Evaluate defective material and tooling
  • Ensure work area and equipment are clean, orderly, and safe
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree
  • Must pass Machine Set-Up Test
  • May be required to have tow motor license
