Machine Shop Operator

• Machine valve components in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
• Work confidently with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls, with the ability to program and edit at the machine or via a DNC link
• Read and understand engineering drawings
• Ensure programs and setting sheets are updated and controlled
• Manufacture components in line with route cards, engineering drawings, and standard work instructions
• Carry out all work safely and in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Inspect components prior to release to stores
• Support maintenance of machinery and equipment through TPM practices
• Machine a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, super duplex, titanium, and aluminium bronze

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a machining role
• Experience of CNC programming and machining
• Ability to understand engineering drawings
• Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques
