Job Responsibility:
Operate and monitor foam insulation production machinery to ensure optimal performance
Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications
Conduct regular quality checks on finished foam products to ensure they meet industry standards
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report significant equipment malfunctions to supervisors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all manufacturing & logistics safety guidelines
Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products for packaging or further processing
Complete daily production logs and documentation accurately and on time
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and reduce waste
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing & logistics environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical manuals and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for quality control purposes
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production setting
Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and management
Problem-solving skills to address operational hiccups during the shift
Basic mathematical skills for measuring and documenting production data
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
Capability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of an 8-hour shift
A clear criminal background check is required for this position
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Reliable transportation to the job site in Brantford, Ontario
Prior experience in the foam insulation or plastics industry is considered an asset
