Machine Operator

• Operate and monitor foam insulation production machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Perform machine setups and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications
• Conduct regular quality checks on finished foam products to ensure they meet industry standards
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report significant equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all manufacturing & logistics safety guidelines
• Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products for packaging or further processing
• Complete daily production logs and documentation accurately and on time
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and reduce waste
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing & logistics environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical manuals and specifications
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for quality control purposes
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production setting
• Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and management
• Problem-solving skills to address operational hiccups during the shift
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring and documenting production data
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
• Capability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of an 8-hour shift
• A clear criminal background check is required for this position
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Reliable transportation to the job site in Brantford, Ontario
• Prior experience in the foam insulation or plastics industry is considered an asset
