Are you a highly motivated and experienced Machine Operator with a passion for quality and an adventurous spirit? If you have a strong background in manufacturing and logistics, a knack for operating machinery, and an aptitude for troubleshooting, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a dedicated Packaging & Production Machine Operator to join a dynamic and growing team in Surrey, BC, where you'll be part of a proud Canadian company that crafts delicious, natural snacks!

Job Responsibility

  • Set up and perform pre-operative checks on machinery before production begins
  • Operate production and packaging machinery, effectively resolving issues and maintaining equipment cleanliness
  • Maximize operational uptime on seasoning and packaging equipment on designated line(s)
  • Complete accurate documentation and record-keeping for materials consumed and products produced
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs)
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance, shipping, and receiving departments
  • Ensure product changeovers are completed in a timely manner
  • Replenish seasoning into flavouring machines
  • Lead and mentor a team of up to two people on the production line
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Production Supervisors or Lead Hand

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of production experience
  • Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
  • Understanding of HACCP principles and practices
  • Must be available to work the afternoon shift on a full-time basis (2:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday-Thursday)
  • Steel-toed safety shoes are mandatory
  • First Aid, Forklift, and/or Food Safety certifications are considered a significant asset
