Job Description:

Are you mechanically minded with experience working in production? Have you considered becoming a machine operator? Location: Virginia, QLD. Easily accessible, with ample on-site secured parking and public transport Hourly Rate: $45.50 Shifts Available: 10pm to 6am Monday to Friday, ongoing 40h per week on a casual basis Overtime available

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform in-process quality checks including capsule weight, seam integrity, and appearance
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain optimal production efficiency and product quality
  • Clean and sanitise equipment and work areas in accordance with GMP and safety regulations
  • Accurately document production data, batch records, and maintenance logs
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure compliance and minimise downtime
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar machine operator or production worker roles
  • Experience on equipment within the pharmaceutical, cosmetics or food industry will be highly regarded
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • technical training or certification is a plus
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery
  • Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience on equipment within the pharmaceutical, cosmetics or food industry
  • Technical training or certification
