We are looking for a reliable Press and Shear Machine Operator for a busy manufacturing facility in Calgary. You will set up and run press brake and shear machines to precisely cut and shape metal parts. Training Schedule: Training will take place during either the morning or afternoon shift. Regular Schedule: The primary schedule consists of 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Alternative Shifts: Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM; Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 1:30 PM – 11:00 PM (10-hour shifts).
Job Responsibility
Launch, operate, and monitor production machinery to meet daily output targets
Conduct frequent quality checks to ensure every part meets strict standards
Troubleshoot minor mechanical hitches to keep the line moving smoothly
Document production wins, including output counts and machine run-times
Maintain a safe, organized workspace by following all site-specific protocols
Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure parts are made to exact specs
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Follow all safety rules and workplace procedures at all times
Keep your work area clean and organized
Work with the team to hit daily production targets
