Machine Operator II

Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies

• High school diploma or GED required
• Blueprint Reading
• Precision Tools and Measuring
• Forklift certification, if applicable
• Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department
• Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department
• Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better
• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance
• Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

• Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department
• Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs)

• Demonstrate ability to set-up and run >50% of operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)
• Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with little or no assistance
• Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance
• Demonstrate the ability to calculate bend allowances and understand tooling radius
• Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and/or equipment
• Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department
