Job Responsibility

Operates machines similar to punch press, CNC, lathe, laser, saw
completes equipment/product set-ups
sets up and runs various auxiliary equipment as required
analyze product attributes and determine process adjustments necessary to bring product to spec
participate in quality improvement process of machine operations
participate in planning of work to meet predetermined deadlines
operate manual bending machine
complete equipment/product set-ups
obtain materials from production line
insert metal parts inside machine repeatedly throughout shift

Job Responsibility

Loads blanks into the machine by reaching hand into tub to pick up cut blank and placing it into loading magazine
Uses a ring gage to check the quality of the finished part and performs visual inspection
Enters accurate production records into the As400 or by recording the numbers on production cards
Removes cuttings from machine using a pitch fork and/or shovel to dump the cuttings into a harpoon system, which is located beneath the machine
Maintains cleanliness of the machines and surrounding work area.
