Job Description

Machine Operator 1 is responsible for safely operating production equipment to manufacture quality products in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. The role involves equipment operation, inspections, troubleshooting, SAP transactions, maintaining production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks on products
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment issues
  • Complete equipment changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning activities
  • Monitor and achieve production and quality targets
  • Maintain continuous equipment operation and minimize downtime
  • Perform rework activities when required
  • Process SAP and MES transactions accurately
  • Handle raw material and finished goods movement
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, quality, and safety standards
  • Utilize measuring tools such as microscopes, calipers, and gauges when required
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause investigations
  • Cross-train in different departmental functions as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience operating machinery in a production environment is an advantage
  • Experience with SAP or MES systems preferred
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments is beneficial
  • Basic experience using hand tools and performing mechanical assembly is preferred
