We are seeking a highly accomplished and engaging Microsoft 365 Adoption and Training Specialist for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier instructional and change enablement capacity within the modern workplace and corporate IT services stream, specializing in the end-to-end design, customization, and delivery of high-impact training programs. As a principal adoption champion, you will bridge the gap between technical cloud architectures and non-technical business users. Operating within a flexible hybrid framework, you will embed yourself across various departments to map out standard team workflows, diagnose structural knowledge gaps, and deliver hands-on, in-person training sessions. This role demands an expert who can confidently cultivate digital literacy, maximize platform utilization, and demystify emerging artificial intelligence productivity tools to drive an efficient and unified modern collaborative culture.
Job Responsibility
Develop, structure, and deliver comprehensive, hands-on Microsoft 365 training sessions tailored for departments and cross-functional teams
Customize instructional content to reflect real-world business scenarios, accommodating users with varying levels of technical literacy and comfort
Provide foundational training on Microsoft 365 Copilot, guiding staff through prompt engineering basics, practical productivity use cases, security awareness, and platform limitations
Conduct interactive office hours, informal coaching circles, and structured follow-up workshops to reinforce training retention and address user inquiries
Meet directly with corporate business units to analyze existing workflows, document collaboration gaps, and isolate systemic communication bottlenecks
Promote consistent, secure file-management practices, maximizing user adoption across centralized repositories, shared cloud storage channels, and collaborative workspaces
Partner with IT Services and key administrative stakeholders to ensure all training assets align with institutional governance, information security baselines, and recommended data protection controls
Author, publish, and maintain a reusable repository of polished training artifacts, including quick reference guides, localized tip sheets, clear FAQs, and detailed session outlines
Script, record, and edit high-quality software demonstrations and recorded walkthrough modules to support continuous asynchronous learning
Conduct recurring gap analyses to isolate adoption barriers and submit data-driven sustainability frameworks to guide post-engagement platform adoption
Compile an end-of-engagement executive summary mapping out completed training milestones, thematic user feedback, and tactical recommendations for future workflow optimization
Requirements
Demonstrated senior-level experience designing and delivering Microsoft 365 training programs to professional business users within large corporate or enterprise environments
Deep, comprehensive knowledge of the core Microsoft 365 application ecosystem, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Planner, To Do, and Loop
Solid familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities, including prompt patterns, responsible use criteria, data privacy guardrails, and cloud boundaries
Proven track record authoring professional quick reference materials, interactive user guides, step-by-step documentation, and inclusive, accessible learning aids
Exceptional comfort managing and facilitating dynamic, hands-on software workshops for large groups with diverse technical skill sets
Nice to have
Active status as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or holding role-aligned platform credentials (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, or Copilot training certifications) is highly desired
Practical experience utilizing formal user adoption, change enablement, or service delivery frameworks (such as Prosci, ADKAR, or Microsoft Service Adoption methodologies)
Prior experience supporting digital transformation or adoption initiatives within higher education, the public sector, or highly complex, multi-stakeholder professional organizations
