Job Description:

M&E Technician position at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur responsible for maintenance and engineering tasks including guest repair requests, preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and hotel MEP systems maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment
  • Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Train and mentor other engineers
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
